What We Offer

PAW Team provides eligible community members with essential wellness exams including vaccines and parasite prevention, as well as access to spay/neuter services. For pets who need more, we can offer ongoing care and support, including medications through our in-house pharmacy, prescription diets, and access to free or low-cost diagnostic testing. We require all pets to be spayed/neutered, or to be put on a waitlist for this service as available.

PAW Team is currently operating by appointment only. Due to our limited volunteer availability during COVID-19, the wait for appointments can be lengthy. If you are a current client, please call 503-206-6033 to schedule an appointment. If you are new to PAW Team, or it has been over 1 year since your pet has been seen here, please read about our eligibility process here.

COVID-19 Protocol: PAW Team is operating on a “curbside model,” as advised by the Oregon Health Authority. When you arrive for your pet’s appointment, please knock on our clinic door. Someone will greet you and check you in. During your pet’s appointment, we ask that you wait outside or in a vehicle. Our volunteer veterinarian will speak with you over the phone during your pet’s exam. Please do not leave the premises during your pet’s appointment. Please note, face coverings are required at all times during your visit.

Please note, PAW Team cannot provide any emergency or urgent care services. If your pet is experiencing an emergency or needs urgent care, please visit this page for resources.

Pet Supply Bank: Our pet supply bank is open every Tuesday through Thursday, 10am to 3pm. Anyone can visit our supply bank on a monthly basis for pet food, over-the-counter flea control, litter, and other pet supplies. Our supply bank is run 100% by donation, and availability may vary.

County Licensing: A county license is your pet's registration with the county that you reside in. You can only obtain a license if your pet's rabies vaccine is up to date. Licenses are also helpful if your pet is found, because your information will be connected to the number. A pet license may also be required for admission to housing. We offer Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas County licenses at a discounted cost. Fees vary by county. In some situations, PAW Team can provide financial assistance to cover the cost of licensing.

How to get care:

To apply for PAW Team services, please fill out a pre-screening eligibility form here. Please be as specific as possible. You will receive a response from our staff based on the kind of care you are seeking.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are doing our best to provide for the members of our community with the fewest resources and prioritizing medically necessary appointments based on availability. We have very limited capacity and have to prioritize certain medical conditions, as well as pets needing exams and/or vaccinations as required by shelter or housing authorities.
