The Mozart & Casper Memorial Fund for Feline Friends

In February 2024, PAW Team launched a specialized fund dedicated to improving the lives of PAW Team’s feline patients. The Mozart and Casper Memorial Fund for Feline Friends is here to support PAW Team’s Continued Care Services program.

This program is designed for pets who have more medically complex needs or chronic health conditions that need ongoing support. Our medical team can provide medications, prescription diets, and the ongoing support families need to care for their beloved companions regardless of their financial limitations.

This fund will help ensure that PAW Team’s feline patients have uninterrupted access to the medications, diagnostics, as well as treatment interventions they need to stay happy and healthy for as long as possible. 

About Mozart & Casper

This fund was established by a generous community member in honor of her beloved feline companions Mozart and Casper. After supporting both pets through the difficult journey of health issues in their final months, this fund was established to ensure that pet owners experiencing financial hardship in our community can access the care their cats need. The amount to kickstart this fund is a tribute to the number of days Mozart and Casper lived alongside their human companion. To honor Mozart and Casper’s legacy, their human mom shared a heartfelt story of these bonded friends who unfortunately passed away within weeks of each other in December 2023:

Mozart was intelligent, adventurous, expressive, daring, and larger-than-life. Casper was a love-bug, cute as a button, and always ready to give and receive affection. 

Mozart was only 8 months old when Casper at 2 months old joined their family. Mozart quickly took on the role of “big brother,” devoted to protecting the shy Casper from enemies, exploring new territories, and leading them both to commit kitty crimes. Casper loved and admired his big brother, happily following Mozart  as a sidekick on all their shenanigans.

They were instant besties, and simply inseparable. They would not be happy apart and, in the end, they followed each other to the end of earth.

“Mozart and Casper played a huge role in my life for nearly 17 years, they definitely inspired me to become a better human being, and a more genuine animal lover. I feel I am the lucky and blessed one to have had them in my life. As a single woman, I share the experience of having my pets as my only constant companions going through life's ups and downs with me, hence choosing PAW Team for its work to honor my beloved Mozart & Casper”.
